Kostis Kontogeorgos is a multimedia artist visual artist and film director, based in Athens, Greece. After completing his studies in Social Anthropology at Panteion University, he pursued his passion for cinema in Athens, graduating with first-class honors. He further advanced his education by completing the Postgraduate Program in Digital Arts at the Athens School of Fine Arts, where he honed his skills in contemporary digital and visual practices.
His work spans a diverse range of mediums, including video installations, video art, internet series, drag show, fiction and documentary films and drawings. His creations often explore the intersection of art, body, power discourse, gender and society, reflecting his academic background in anthropology and his deep engagement with visual storytelling. His works and films have been showcased and recognized at numerous festivals both in Greece and internationally, earning critical acclaim and awards for their innovative approach and artistic depth.
In 2021, he founded the Community Art Project Future Myth N.G.O., an initiative aimed at supporting Vulnerable social groups, blending art, technology and social activism, creating spaces for dialogue and reflection on the evolving myths of our time
.
His work continues to push boundaries, challenging conventional perspectives and inspiring audiences to think critically about the world around them.
